Solar panels for homes in Kosovo
With solar panels on the roof, you produce the electricity you use during the day and lower the power bill. TeraVolti designs the system, installs it, connects it and helps you with the permits at KEDS/KESCO, the municipality and ZRRE.
How large should the system be?
For most homes in Kosovo, a 7 kWp system is enough. Homes with lower use choose 3 to 5 kWp. Homes with electric heating, a heat pump or an electric car need 8 to 15 kWp.
In Kosovo, 1 kWp produces about 1,250 kWh a year. A 7 kWp system produces about 8,750 kWh a year. We set the exact size from your bills and from the space on the roof.
What does it cost and how much do you save?
- A 7 kWp on-grid system costs 4,600 to 5,000 euro, including installation.
- You save about 800 euro a year on the electricity bill.
- The investment pays for itself in about 6 years.
- The panels produce electricity for 25 to 30 years.
The price includes the panels, the inverter, roof mounting, cables and rails, the electrical connections and the breaker cabinet. It changes with the type of roof, the distance from the roof to the electrical cabinet, and the home’s consumption.
On-grid or hybrid with a battery?
An on-grid system is connected to the grid. During the day the house uses electricity from the panels. Surplus electricity goes to the grid. At night you take electricity from the grid as usual. This system costs less and pays for itself sooner.

How the process works

- We assess the roof and your consumption, then send you the quote.
- We prepare the documents and apply for the permits at KEDS/KESCO, the municipality and ZRRE. The permits take 1.5 to 6 months.
- Installation and connection take about 2 days.
- After connection, you follow production in the inverter app.
Warranty
The panels have a 30-year production warranty from the manufacturer. The inverter has a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer. TeraVolti gives a 1-year warranty on the installation.
