Hybrid solar systems with batteries
A hybrid system has panels, a hybrid inverter and a battery. During the day the panels supply the house or building and charge the battery. In the evening, and when the power goes out, the battery supplies you.
When do you need a battery?
- When the power goes out often in your area.
- When you use more electricity in the evening than during the day.
- When you have equipment that should not stop: a water pump, a refrigerator, a server or an alarm.
- When the building is not connected to the grid.

On-grid, hybrid or off-grid
- On-grid: connected to the grid, without a battery. When the grid stops, the system stops too.
- Hybrid: connected to the grid and with a battery. When the grid stops, the battery supplies the circuits you choose.
- Off-grid: not connected to the grid. The battery and the panels supply the building on their own.
How large should the battery be?
We size the battery according to:
- the electricity you use from evening until morning;
- the equipment that must keep running during an outage;
- the size of the solar system.
The batteries we use are modular. For example, the Pylontech Force H2 battery has 3.55 kWh modules. You can start with fewer modules and add more later.
What does it cost?
A hybrid system costs more than an on-grid system. The price depends on the size of the battery and the inverter. We calculate the quote from your consumption.
