What size system does your home need?
A typical home system is about 8 kWp. The final size is set after the site visit, based on your annual consumption and on the size and orientation of your roof. In Prishtina we have installed several 7 kWp systems, for both homes and businesses.
The 7 kWp limit also matters for permits. For systems up to 7 kWp, the building does not need to be legalised or have a building permit. For systems above 7 kWp, the building must be legalised or have a valid building permit.
Permits in Prishtina: municipality, KEDS and ERO
A grid-connected system needs three approvals: consent from the Municipality of Prishtina, consent from KEDS, and a prosumer licence from ERO (ZRRE). TeraVolti prepares and submits all the documents, and this is included in the price.
As the investor, you should know three things:
- You must not have unpaid debts to KEDS.
- The investor pays KEDS for upgrading the meter capacity and for its field team visit. These are usually two invoices.
- If the inverter is more than 10 metres from the main supply, the investor provides the cables and materials, while TeraVolti does the labour.

How long it takes: from quote to a working system
- Site visit, consultation and quote, free of charge.
- Documents and applications to the municipality, KEDS and ERO, which we submit for you.
- Mounting, installation and commissioning, which take about 2 days.
- Grid connection and prosumer licensing.
Under normal circumstances, the whole process from start to a working system takes 60–120 days.

The mounting structure and the batteries carry a 10-year warranty each, and installation work carries a 1-year warranty. After installation we offer cleaning, maintenance and servicing.
