TeraVolti offers electric vehicle chargers and connects them to your solar system and battery, if the building has them. This way, part of the energy for your car comes from the panels on your roof rather than from the grid. Before every installation we do the electrical design and check the building’s capacity. Installation is done by our own team, across Kosovo. The site visit, consultation and quote are free.

How much power do you need: 7.2 kW, 11 kW or 22 kW?

The chargers we offer are available in 7.2 kW, 11 kW and 22 kW, and all of them use the Type 2 connector, the European standard used by most electric cars on the market.

  • 7.2 kW suits simpler use, such as homes or small businesses.
  • 11 kW is a practical choice for offices, company car parks and charging during working hours.
  • 22 kW suits hotels, restaurants, shopping centres and places where cars stay for shorter periods.

The right power does not depend only on the car. It also depends on the building’s supply, whether it is single-phase or three-phase, and on the other loads running at the same time.

Chargers for businesses, hotels and car parks

For a business, the car park can become an extra service for customers, staff or the company fleet. The charger does not have to be next to the panels or the battery. With the right electrical design, it is installed where cars park, whether that is an open car park, a garage, a hotel, a restaurant, an office or an industrial site.

The chargers offer:

  • smart load management, which protects the building from overload;
  • RFID card access, so that only authorised people can charge;
  • remote monitoring and control over WiFi;
  • consumption statistics, plus the option to bill users for charging if you want to offer it as a paid service.

Charging with energy from solar panels and batteries

If you have a solar system or are planning one, the charger becomes even more useful. The energy flows like this: solar panels → building → charger.

  • During the day, energy from the panels powers the building and the car.
  • A battery or BESS stores surplus energy and releases it later, depending on how the system is configured.
  • The size of the solar system is calculated from the building’s consumption and the number of cars to be charged.

What we check before installation

  • the building’s electrical connection capacity;
  • whether the supply is single-phase or three-phase;
  • peak consumption and the other existing loads;
  • where the charger will be mounted and the cable length to the electrical panel;
  • whether the charger will be connected to the solar system or the battery.

We do these checks because, for us, a charger is not just a device that is mounted on a wall or a post. It is part of the building’s electrical system.

How much does an EV charger cost?

The cost depends on the charger’s power (7.2, 11 or 22 kW), the number of stations, the distance to the electrical panel, and whether it is connected to the solar system or a battery. After the site visit we send you a free quote.

Frequently asked questions about EV chargers

What connector do the chargers use?

The Type 2 connector, the European standard used by most electric cars on the market.

Can I charge my car with energy from solar panels?

Yes. When the charger is connected to the building’s solar system, part of the charging energy comes directly from the panels. With a battery, stored energy can also be used later.

Does the charger have to be next to the panels or the battery?

No. With the right electrical design, the charger is installed where the cars park.

Which power should I choose?

7.2 kW for simpler use, such as homes or small businesses. 11 kW for offices and company car parks. 22 kW for hotels, restaurants and shopping centres. The final choice also depends on the building’s supply.

Can I control charging remotely?

Yes. The chargers have monitoring and control over WiFi, as well as RFID card access.
